Andy Wells Receives “Magic” Johnson Healthcare Business Award

Andy Wells of Bemidji, Minnesota, is this year’s honored recipient of the prestigious Earvin “Magic” Johnson Healthcare Business Award.  “Magic” Johnson was a legionary basketball star, successful businessman, and philanthropist who contributed generously to life science research and systemic improvements in healthcare. 

This year’s national award was presented to Andy Wells on September 11th, 2025, in Dana Point, California by “The Alliance for Science” organization which is a coalition of over 500 life science professionals from pharma, biotech, and healthcare plus leaders from over 30 major corporations including Eli Lilly, Abbott, Pfizer, and Boston Scientific. 

The “Magic” Johnson award recognizes outstanding contributions and innovations in life science products, processes, education and leadership which are aligned to significantly advance the healthcare industry.  Andy Wells is founder and CEO of Wells Technology and a member of the Red Lake Nation.
